Wiston Papers
What's the truth?
The
latest jobs creation report this month--coupled with the unemployment statistics--will add fuel to the already heated presidential debate over
unemployment and the economy.
Governor
Mitt Romney will cite the declining numbers of monthly job creation as
proof that President Obama's economic policies have failed. Mr. Obama
will point to the drop in the overall unemployment percentage as
evidence that his program is working.
Both will have numbers to support their contention--numbers that are both right but incomplete.
The indisputable fact, however, is that 12.5 million Americans are without jobs according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
And that truth is simply unacceptable no matter how you look at it.
